In July, Soochow University hosted the 2026 Cyrus Tang Foundation (CTF) China-US Music Summer Camp, bringing together nearly 100 young participants from China and abroad for a cross-cultural musical encounter.
Under the guidance of the camp instructors, campers completed sectional rehearsals and full ensemble runs, deepening mutual understanding and forging friendships through collaboration. The program also featured immersive experiences of traditional Chinese culture, allowing campers to fully experience its distinctive character. At the closing concert, camper ensembles took the stage in turn with works including Vivaldi’s Concerto for Strings in D Major and A Simple Gift of Jasmine, and concluded with an encore performance of Golden.
Through music, the summer camp served as a bridge for China-US cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
