On August 25, a delegation led by Paulo Quaresma, former Vice President of the University of Évora, Portugal, and Zhang Shuguang, Vice President of the University of Saint Joseph, Macao, visited Soochow University.
Wu Jiawei, Vice President of Soochow University, met with the delegation and introduced Suzhou's rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as the university's academic strengths and achievements in key disciplines. During the symposium, Quaresma reviewed the history of cooperation between the two institutions and expressed his willingness to further strengthen inter-institutional research collaboration. Zhang committed to fully supporting the implementation of trilateral cooperation projects. The attendees discussed topics including the establishment of cooperation mechanisms and research on cultural heritage conservation, reaching a preliminary consensus.
The delegation also visited the joint laboratory's industry-academia-research space and Shuangta Yingyuan, operated by Suzhou Wudu Construction Investment Co., Ltd. This visit strengthened the groundwork for trilateral cooperation and opened a new chapter in its systematic development.
